Fundraisers  The E.O. Austin Home/Historical Society has no source of income except from donations and fundraisers. The following are a few ongoing fundraisers. For more information contact the E.O. Austin Home by phone, email, letter, or by a visit.   Dinner Auction  Our biggest fundraiser is the Annual Dinner Auction held each spring.  Items are donated by local business and people connected to the area.  Throughout the evening, each guest is welcome to bid on the variety of items.       Military Bricks  Bricks can be purchased in honor or memory of a service man or woman, past or present, who lived in the Austin area. These bricks are displayed on the second floor in the military section. The raised bricks trimmed in gold, represent Austin area individuals who lost their lives while serving.   Each brick features the name of the service man or woman, the branch of the military they served in and the years served.    Civilian Bricks  Bricks can be purchased in honor or memory of a person who lived in the Austin area at one time in their life. These bricks are displayed throughout the E.O. Austin Home. Civilian bricks feature the person's name.   Christmas Ornaments  Every year, the E.O. Austin Home/Historical Society sells Christmas Ornaments. In past years, the ornaments have featured the Austin Join Schools, the Community Club, the E.O. Austin Home and the 2006 ornament features the Austin Area School.
